I am Alexis Hunter, the founder of A'Blazing Arts, and I am from Orangeburg, SC. I am currently pursuing an MFA in Digital Production Arts at Clemson University. From there, I plan to work in the animation industry with a desire to still create traditional drawings.

 

I have been drawing ever since I was young, but it was not until I was in the 7th grade that I took it seriously. I drew one of my classmates while she was not looking, and my other classmates really liked it. During the summers of my high school years, I attended the Orangeburg-Calhoun Consortium for the Arts for visual arts. I drew the self-portrait shown above during my first year at the consortium, which led to my winning 2nd place in my division at the SC State Fair. I love drawing portraits; however, I will capture the vision of the client through the mediums that are listed in the Services section.

I cannot separate my artistry from my personal life. I want my pieces to show the fire that is burning inside me for art.  I like to give attention to every feature of the requested piece because I see the beauty in every detail, and that should be celebrated.
